This is a little oil slick under the barbecue grill after a heavy rain. I think it looks kinda amoeba-ish.

This little plant is in a flash flood zone and has become bent and twisted and has collected some rocks from its years in the desert.

A couple of years ago, my dad and I met an army buddy of his in Biloxi, MS. One of the places we visited had a wedding the night before the leftover food and drink had been removed but everything else was left. I love how the light shining through the liquid in these class containers shows as rings of shadows.

As long back as I can remember, I have always loved the sheen on the water as it slides over this spillway.

I also thought it unlikely to actually knock “whale watching tour” off my bucket list but my dad made that one possible on a trip to Seattle several years ago.
