Spa Day

Lime and ginger salt scrub

I had cut this out of a magazine and tucked it in with all the rest of the recipe clippings that sound yummy that I want to try someday. I was looking through them for inspiration one day and ran across it again. I have not tried this one but it sounds almost like sensory overload.
Pulverize 1/4 cup fresh ginger root in a blender, add 1/2 cup table salt. (I might use a sea salt here) Mix in juice from two limes and 1/2 cup warmed vegetable oil to make a gritty paste. (I might try to get ahold of some sesame oil here).
Use to exfoliate hands, feet and rough spots such as elbows, massaging into skin with gentle, circular motions. Rinse with warm water spiked with squirts of lime.
Now doesn’t that sound wonderful?

(That’s the picture that was with the recipe, I can’t take credit for that one.)
