Weekly Photo Challenge: Endurance 2

The oak trees of Oak Alley Plantation between New Orleans and Baton Rouge are a testament to endurance–the trees with time and the idea of some unknown settler more than 300 years ago who planted them.

The house has endured through the Civil War, abandonment, neglect, and now the commercialization that charges people $20 to take a tour of the grounds and home. It has been used in movies, stories, commercials and music videos.
