Summer lost

Summer

Summer washed down my street
with the last big rain.
Somebody’s Croc flip flop
In bright pink and green.
It looks lost amid the acorn brown
leftover fall leaves.
Incongruous with concrete
In frosty tones.
A single shoe,
An orphan of the winter,
With no sole mate.
